What Is the WTT Series?
The WTT Series is a structured series of international table tennis tournaments designed to showcase the best players in the sport while nurturing emerging talent. Organized by World Table Tennis, it features a tiered system that includes events like WTT Grand Smash, WTT Finals, WTT Champions, WTT Star Contender, and WTT Contender. Each tier offers varying levels of prestige, prize money, and ranking points, providing players with a clear pathway to progress and achieve global recognition. The series not only elevates the competitive landscape but also delivers an engaging spectacle for fans worldwide.
WTT Grand Smash – 2000 Points

In 2025, there will be four Grand Smashes. These will start with the Singapore Smash from January 30 to February 9. In July, the U.S. will host its first WTT Grand Smash in Las Vegas. A new Grand Smash event will happen in August, with the location yet to be announced. Lastly, the China Smash will take place in Beijing from September 25 to October 5.
WTT Finals – 1500 Points
Marking the grand finale of the table tennis season, the WTT Finals bring together the Top 16 players for a climactic battle in the iconic Infinity ∞ Arena. In 2025, the first WTT Champions events are in Chongqing (March 11-16) and Incheon (April 1-6). Japan will host its first Champions event in August, followed by Macao in September. In Europe, the events will be held in Montpellier, France, and Germany in late October and early November.
