Legendary Chinese table tennis player Ma Long has once again garnered global recognition, receiving the Outstanding Sporting Career Award at the 2024 ANOC Awards ceremony. Held in Cascais, Portugal, on October 30, during the 27th General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), the awards ceremony highlighted top athletic performances from the Paris 2024 Olympics. In Paris, Ma Long extended his Olympic medal record by clinching his sixth gold in the men’s team event, affirming his status as the most decorated Olympic table tennis player in history—a feat unmatched by any other athlete in the sport. His Olympic journey began in London in 2012, with an initial team gold, and reached iconic heights in Rio 2016, where he claimed his first men’s singles gold.
